Maxwell Wood About Us The Thermal Modification Process Products and Services Contact Us NavRightSpacer
Maxwell Wood was established in 2005 as the first timber heat treatment facility in Asia and is the only one in Southeast Asia.

Our plant, strategically located near Port Klang in Malaysia, uses technology developed by Stellac in Finland. This 100% chemical-free system uses high temperatures to alter the molecular structure of the wood. This increases the durability, stability and visual appeal of the timber, not to mention its value.

Compared to ordinary wood, our thermally treated wood is
    1) more resistant to rot and decay,
    2) more stable in conditions of changing humidity,
    3) attractively darker and more consistent in colour.
